Leeds Arts University
Leeds Arts University (formerly Leeds College of Art) engaged The Studio People to Design, Build and Equip their Media areas within a new building designed by DLA Architects along with construction by Main Contractor ISG. We were appointed direct to the client early on in order to advise and design the most appropriate spaces for the new Arts Building in Blenheim Walk Leeds. The TSP project included full construction and fit out of a fully floating and isolated 230 seat Auditorium, large Film Studio with Green Screen to 3 sides, Music Control Room, 3 Live Rooms, a Drum Room, 5 Practice Rooms and 2 x Photography Studios across 2 floors of the new building. All areas were fully equipped by us including an SSL AWS924 console, Genelec 1237A Monitors, numerous quality microphones and supporting accessories, a full lighting rig for the Film Studio, a high end FBT PA system, lighting rigs, projector and screen and associated elements for the Auditorium plus a full Technical cabling install with post completion training on key items. Finishes were in Oak and completion was February 2019.
