From the early days of amplifier, analogue tape recorder and console design through to the main activity today of acoustics in real studio environments, their wide scope of knowledge means that our clients have the benefit of an appreciation of all aspects of their project...not just the 'bricks & mortar From first contact with our office, someone will visit your proposed site, discuss the options available and within a few days...submit a full specification and budget proposal.
Once the acoustic calculations have been done and basic layouts have
been agreed, the production drawings are prepared on one of our AutoCAD
R2002 workstations. Output is plotted on A1 sheets covering various 'layers'
of the works from basic floating floors, internal wall/ceiling structures
and Mechanical and Electrical services. Meanwhile, the equipment layouts and audio/video wiring schemes are confirmed and 'dropped' onto the drawing to complete the final stages ready for preparation of accurate visuals on Autodesk Viz 4. Visual of new Reception area for Side in London.
Using different lighting options, the room visuals start to take shape and, together with the constructional drawings, provide the client with a clear view of how the finished project is going to look and feel. Initially, a run of up to 4 colour scheme options are supplied
on CD or via email, together with samples of fabrics and wood species.
Subsequent discussion will then reveal the favoured combinations and a
final set of chosen visuals is prepared for client approval. A suggested colour scheme for one of our current projects.
